A reflection on how the people of Gilan reacted to the law of uncovering the hijab in the Pahlavi period

Abstract
The researcher believes that some studies in the field of social history of Guilan, without citing clear historical sources and evidence, emphasize that the law of uncovering the hijab in the first Pahlavi period was more easily and quickly accepted by the people of Guilan compared to other regions of Iran. It has been placed and one of the most important reasons for the lack of reaction of the scholars and clerics of Guilan with the law of uncovering the hijab and their association with this cultural policy of Pahlavi. In this scientific chair, an attempt has been made to investigate how the people of Guilan faced the veil removal law by adopting a descriptive and analytical approach and using documents related to the period of veil removal in the Pahlavi period. The findings of this research, while not confirming the results of previous studies regarding the lack of significant resistance of the people of Guilan against the veil removal law, show that the necessary ground and platform for the acceptance of veiling in Guilan as in other regions of Iran is not available and the people of Guilan They have shown resistance against this action that is incompatible with the culture and identity of the Iranian society
